Audits sought by Detroit City Council President

DETROIT (WKZO) -- Newly appointed Detroit City Council President Saunteel Jenkins is seeking audits of the council's divisions, Media Services and the office of former president Charles Pugh. ?She says the auditor general will not be looking for any criminal activity but will make sure accounts are documented correctly.

Pugh has been missing for several weeks after he was accused of having "inappropriate contact" with young man who was part of Pugh's leadership program at Frederick Douglass Academy in Detroit. ?Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr stripped Pugh of his salary and title after Pugh refused to return to work.
